Meet Our BCBA
Dr. Maheen Kamran
Early Childhood Interventionist | BCBA, QBA, IBA
Dr. Maheen Kamran is a medical doctor (MBBS, Khyber Medical College, Pakistan) who found her life’s purpose when her daughter was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Witnessing firsthand the lack of structured, evidence-based support in her region, Dr. Maheen felt a deep responsibility to bridge that gap—not just for her own child, but for countless others.
She went on to pursue an M.Sc in Applied Behavior Analysis from Queen’s University Belfast (UK), and earned her credentials as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA), and International Behavior Analyst (IBA). She is also trained in PECS, ADOS-2 (University of San Francisco & Children Hospital of Philidelphia), and Greg Hanley’s PFA & SBT model.
In 2019, she founded The Autism Jewel—a therapeutic clinic for children with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities. Built on compassion and clinical excellence, the center focuses on enhancing children’s communication, independence, and social skills, while reducing challenging behaviors through individualized, evidence-based interventions.
The journey from being a medical doctor to a behavior analyst has been one of purpose, passion, and perseverance—and today, Dr. Maheen proudly celebrates the success of countless children who have transitioned to mainstream education under her care. Her work has received global recognition, including a research award at the 2024 APBA Convention in New Orleans and a presentation at the ABAI Las Vegas Conference.
